Experimental tip rebuild. These are from a Large digger working in a shell rock quarry. These tip were worn back about a third. We built up the tip with cutting edge welded in place with specialist LH wire. Then MTC Hardfaced over the top. These are large expensive to replace tips and were rebuilt for a fraction of the replacement price.

Plate Crusher Jaws. This is from a local shell rock quarry. The owner was having trouble with the ends wearing badly. After MTC Hardfacing this crusher plate is still in commission after 6 months with little wear. We have just recently hardfaced the partner Jaw plate.

Digger Bucket Tips. These tip are for a digger working in the logging industry.  With MTC Hardfacing these tips are lasting on average 5 - 8 times longer than standard. The owner has just informed me that these tips digging papa had a productive life (cutting ability) of two days. Since applying MTC H/Facing they have gone 3 weeks so far & are still cutting like new!!!

This tip was the first we MTC Hardfaced for a company in the logging industry. He had heard of our services and wanted to put it to the test. Since then we have coated all his tip sets.

This is a power harrow blade.

Plate Crusher Cheeks. This is from a different crusher with a different problem. Still crushing shell rock, this crusher suffered from excess cheek wear. Due to the high distortion of these manganese plates only a small amount of hardfacing is applied. These plates had to be retained after MCT Hardfacing.

Power Auger upgrades.

These are Maschio Power Harrow spikes. These were MTC Hardfaced for a farming contractor. They were using many set of these per season and with 59 spikes per set this was at great expense. To date they are still using the same set after 6 months.

This Dozer Ripper was a great success story. This was used in the logging industry. They were going through a set of rippers every week. After MTC Hardfacing they were getting a minium of 5 weeks and usually more. This was a savings of over $12000 P/year.

This MTC Hardfacing job is a work in progress. This is a Walker Mower Blade used for mowing trashy stoney areas. After MTC Hardfacing the cutting edge still remained after the rear of the blade had worn away. We are now hardfacing both front & rear of blade.
